A Faint Cold Fear is a 2014 American psychological thriller film written and directed by Martin Scorsese starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Michelle Pfeiffer, Dylan O'Brien, Tracy Pollan, Walton Goggins and Vera Farmiga. The film is based on the 2003 Karin Slaughter novel of the same name. The film received universal acclaim and phenomenal reception upon its' release on July 4th, 2014 theatrically and was pre-screened to critics and select audiences in advance. Pfeiffer secured a Golden Globe for her performance as Detective Lena Adams whilst O'Brien secured a BAFTA.
