Tol Nareth was a male Bajoran diplomat and scientist with the Bajoran Natural Resource Council. Nareth was married to Tol Janin and was the father of Tol Elliena. In 2372, Tol began to visit Deep Space 9 as part of his work for the Natural Resource Council, who were working on a joint project with Starfleet to investigate the current state of Bajor's ecology and geology.
