The Lighter Side Of Darkness is the second album released by Orange County, CA Heavy Metal band The Rebirth Of Hostility (the first to consist of new material). According to frontman Dan Santana, the album "took several months to complete due to several factors, the main factor being that we all had to be blown away by a song in order for it to have a chance of making the final cut. This was our first real album, we went through a lot to get to this point, and we wanted it to be special."
