[Source] The SWE/1 sonic suppressor was a model of sonic rifle produced by Telex-Delcor and first released during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The rifle was part of a line of reliable and uncomplicated riot control equipment, and was favored during the war for the fact that the beam it fired could not be parried by a lightsaber. By the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, Telex-Delcor had released a follow-up rifle, the SWE/2 sonic rifle.
