The Mithras-class was a type of Cardassian destroyer escort that saw service during the latter half of the 24th century. It entered service in 2365. The Mithras was faster at impulse and had better acceleration then the Bird of Prey but could not match it at warp speeds. (Cardassian Sourcebook)
