Jim Russell is a former NASCAR driver from Odessa, TX. He competed in four Nextel Cup Series events in his career. All of those came in 1957, when Russell debuted at Daytona Beach. Starting 23rd in the fifty-seven car field, Russell wound up finishing 56th in the event after falling out early. He fell out in the next two events, but ended his career with a career-best 17th place effort at North Wilkesboro.
