Daniil Vyacheslavovich Kvyat (Russian: Дании́л Вячесла́вович Квят; pronounced: kv-YAT; born 26 April 1994 in Ufa, Bashorotostan, Russia) is a Russian racing driver who made his Formula One debut in the 2014 Formula One season for the Toro Rosso team, alongside Jean-Éric Vergne. His car number is #26. Kvyat got his first opportunity to drive a Formula One car when he participated in the Young Driver Test for the same team during the 2013 season, in the U.S. and Brazil. At the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix, Red Bull announced that Vettel would be leaving the team, promoting Kvyat up to Red Bull.
