Ruruna is a ditzy, trendy girl who uses slang often (much to Hotaru's distaste). She is in the same class as Chibiusa. She collects all things by Channel, a fictional brand name. Ruruna tells us that the popular brand started in Paris in 1909 by Gabrielle Natade. The name is often misspelled "Chanel" (like the real brand) by fans, but "Channel" is clearly written in Roman letters in the manga.
