Little was known about the Battle of Chommell Minor other than that it took place sometime during the Yuuzhan Vong War, shortly after the Battle of Naboo in 27 ABY. The attack on Chommell Minor was part of the Yuuzhan Vong's planned invasion of the Chommell Sector, meant to strike fear in the hearts of New Republic citizens by attacking such tactically insignificant civilian targets. Due to their earlier crushing defeat at Naboo, it was entirely possible that the Yuuzhan Vong simply abandoned their plans to attack Chommell Minor. If the battle did in fact take place however, its outcome remained unknown.
