The 1971 Space City 300 was a Winston Cup Series (now Nextel Cup) event held at Meyer Speedway on June 23, 1971. It was the only event held at the speedway. Bobby Allison would win it, leading 253 of the 300 laps in route to a two-lap victory over James Hylton. Eventual 1971 champion Richard Petty finished 7th. Stats
