Gustave H. is the concierge of the elegant Grand Budapest Hotel in the European country of Zubrowska. He is living a very fancy life until one day, his former mistress dies, leaving him a beautiful and expensive painting. Things take a turn for the worse when Madame D.'s family falsely accuses him of stealing the picture. Jopling is defeated, but Dmitri escapes. In the end, Gustave gives up his life for Zero, who lives to tell the tale.
