Find Mid is the first quest of the main storyline. It is acquired by talking to Cid anytime after the game starts. The objective is to find Cid's nephew Mid in a cage in Guardia Forest. The cage is located southwest of the Guardia Forest Waypoint and is guarded by a large group of bandits lead by a Bandit Leader. Upon destroying the cage, one can return to Cid and complete the quest regardless of whether the player has killed the guarding bandits. Once the player returns to Cid, every player is awarded with 1000 EXP and the next quest in the main storyline, Find Artifact, is automatically acquired.
