A cidade (até ser dia) was the Portuguese entry at the 1993 Contest. It was performed by Anabela Braz Pires, and was co-written by a former Portuguese participant Paulo de Carvalho. The song was performed 11th following Austria, and preceding France. The song rounded off the top ten with 60 points.
