[Source] The Mk 45 Protective Vest, or Koromondain Half-Vest, was a type of protective vest that was manufactured and sold by Koromondain PDS, Incorporated. The vest was commonly referred to as "bounty hunter insurance," because it was specifically designed to protect the wearer from sudden attacks originating from unexpected quarters. It offered near-perfect protection against blasters and slugthrowers, however this was only from direct shots. Anything that impacted the vest at an angle other than straight-on would penetrate the vest. A Mk 45 Protective Vest typically cost two hundred fifty credits.
