In Ultima IV, the temple housed the Candle of Love, and the Stranger found it there, hidden in a secret passageway. The candle helped the Stranger's quest greatly. The Candle was returned to Cove later on, and in Ultima V, the temple still stood as a symbol the Virtues. However, the temple disappeared by the time of Ultima VI.
