After Sophie Webster was hit by a car in an accident caused by Ryan Connor's drunk and disorderly conduct, the unnamed Traffic Officer turned up at the hospital along with a female colleague to investigate. The two officers spoke to Sophie's father Kevin and explained that according to several witnesses, including the driver, that Sophie wasn't alone and had been accompanied by a young man who fled the scene shortly after the accident. Kevin told them that he had no idea who the young man could be and they left.
