Clifford Allison (October 20, 1964 - August 13, 1992) was a NASCAR driver from Hueytown, AL. He competed in twenty-two Nationwide Series (then Busch Series) events in his career prior to his tragic death in a practice crash at Michigan. An aggressive racing competitor Clifford began his racing career at the age of 19 in the Late Model Division at Birmingham International Raceway. Working alongside his father from an early age, Clifford's desire to race came naturally. While working his way through the short tracks he dominated the Late Model Division , Winning the Montgomery International Raceway Track Championship in 1987. Clifford also managed to crew chief his brother Davey to a 2nd place points finish in the 1985 ARCA Series Championship. He holds an impressive driving record including
