The Danish National IT and Telecom Agency, which was part of the former Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Science Ministry), worked from a vision about creating the groundwork for digitalization of Denmark. The aim was to make the everyday life of citizens easier, businesses richer and the public sector better. The agency was dissolved in October 2011 and its various responsibilities were transferred to four separate Ministries: Finance, Economy & Interior, Defense, and Business & Growth.
