Mrs Foster was Alan Bradley's landlady at his bedsit in 31 Redford Street after his release from Risley Remand Centre. When Mrs Foster hadn't seen Alan for a few days, she asked a visiting Jenny Bradley if Alan was keeping the room on as she'd had an enquiry. Informed that Alan had died, her manner turned much more sympathetic, and she told Jenny that Alan had seemed like a gentleman and always had a polite word if she saw him. Awkwardly asking about his belongings, Mrs Foster offered to sort everything out if she wanted. Jenny then told Mrs Foster about her dad's death, blaming everyone for hounding and killing him even though he'd been hit by a tram in Blackpool while chasing Rita Fairclough, a woman he'd terrorised and tried to kill.
