Players can either fight him with melee combat, Ranged, or Magic. Like all barbarians from Barbarian Village (except for Litara and Peksa), if a player talks to Gunthor, the player will be attacked. Players who fight him with melee generally only should fight Gunthor when they have a Defence level of at least 20 (as he can hit often and deal high hits), as well as a weapon better than iron. Players who attack him using Ranged or Magic can do so safely from behind the tables or stools. He is weak to Magic and Ranged. Gunthor the Brave is the highest level barbarian in Barbarian Village.
