Holobook was introduced for use by students at the Jedi academy on Coruscant in Roan Novachez's second year of attendance. Though Roan arrived early for the start of the term, he did not set up a profile right away because he couldn't figure out how and eventually decided he didn't really need to as he could simply use holomail to keep in touch with people. He soon changed his mind, however, when Gaiana expressed upset as not being able to select him as a "top friend" on her profile.
