Darkblade Squadron was an elite Imperial Remnant unit equipped with X-wings. They were employed on many occasions to provide urgently needed air defense to Imperial colony worlds. Their reputation was nearly equivalent to Rogue Squadron, and indeed they were regarded as the Empire's answer to Rogue Squadron.
