Zhar was a Covenant Jackal attached to the Covenant missionary ship: Minor Trangression. He held the rank fo Zealot and had a personal and sexual interest in Shipmistress Chur'R-Yar. When a Luminary was found, Zhar was one who dismantled the Luminary on Minor Trangression, under the orders of Chur'R-Yar. He was attacked by UNSC Staff Sergeant Avery J. Johnson during a raid on a crippled human freighter, known as the Walk of Shame and was killed along with his partners, after being shot to dead in the chest multiple times with an M6 Pistol by Johnson.
