Lara's Own Regiment was the Royal guard of the Kingdom of Torch. It was formed in 1921 PD and named after Lara Novakhovskaya, one of Queen Berry's original Amazon bodyguards, who gave her life saving the young monarch from a biotoxin assassination attempt by the Mesan Alignment. The name was chosen on the queen's insistence. All members of Lara's Own were carefully picked and had their mind-glow checked by a treecat, initially Oliver Wendell Holmes. (CS2)
