N-1, later referred to as Number One, is one of Burando's immortality experiments gone wrong. First introduced after the rising water had knocked down all of the cell doors. The water didn't effect him because of his inhumanly long legs, and he was able to get to Manji and the others location quickly along with Burando. Burando showed regret in creating N-1, as it easily gained the upper hand on Dōa and Isaku. Manji flung the hairpin Dewanosuke left him straight into the experiments's eye, and it proceeded to attack him. Manji lands two swords in the his side, as Dōa Plunges her blade into his neck. After shaking the two off N-1 landed both of his claws into Manji's chest. Dōa attempted to cut his head off while he was busy with Manji, but was kicked back, still managing to land her sword
