Robin Hood is a famous English Folk hero portrayed as both a highly-skilled archer and outlaw. His trademark was "stealing from the rich and giving to the poor". Robin and his assistants known as the Merry Men lived in Sherwood Forest. Robin Hood was a supporter of the true King of England, King Richard, The Lionheart, but Robin was forced into being an outlaw during Richard's evil brother, John's, rule over the country while the true king was fighting in the Third Crusade.
