The Sand Pit is a Challenge mode exclusive to the Nintendo Switch port of Cave Story+. It is unlocked by obtaining the Fireball in Story Mode. It takes place in the titular Sand Pit, starting off in the Storeroom and going downwards into multiple B levels. .
