Livres Aux Folles, translated as Books of a Feather, is a bookstore in Newport Beach, California. The bookstore has a gay theme, sold Tobias Fünke's book The Man Inside Me and held meet-and-greets with the author. ("Not Without My Daughter") The store's window displays "Books of a Feather" as the English translation of the French name, but it more closely translates to "Books for the birds." Its name is derived from "La Cage Aux Folles," a 1973 play by Jean Poiret (remade on film as "The Birdcage" in 1996) that is a famous work of gay literature.
