The Mauser NP-41 is chambered in 5mm, and was used primarily by supply troops before The War. After the Petroleum Trading Company arose, they recognized the need for a standard issue sidearm for their members. Since their bunker contained light manufacturing facilities and the plans for the NP-41, it was the natural choice. The NP-41 is only rarely seen outside the ranks of the PTC.
