A Hot landing zone, or Hot LZ, indicates that the point where transports are dropping off units is under fire from enemy units, sometimes heavily. Landing a drop onto a Hot LZ is very risky and requires Attention to be pulled off successfully. Typically, for a drop onto a Hot LZ to work, gunship or Bomber cover is needed to draw fire from the transports and the use of more heavily armored transports, such as T2 Transport is required (The UEF Continental is particularly effective due to its area shielding). Additionally, using off-shore bombardment or Amphibious tanks may be necessary to ensure the safety of the units when they hit the ground. Units landing in a Hot LZ should move away from the drop point as soon as possible to limit the amount of Collateral Damage that can be inflicted upo
