The UQV theory is authored by Kedar Joshi. It is a (philosophy of mind) idealistic and (metaphysical) semi-solipsistic theory which contends that the sole reason behind the existence of the material universe is the vanity of its creator, the vanity materialized through 'the creator asking the created an apparently unanswerable ultimate question about the nature of the creator’s existence'. The material universe solely contains the non-spatial existence of the author of the theory. The theory is idealistic since it denies the reality of space and it is (metaphysical) semi-solipsistic since only two minds, viz. the creator and the created, exist.
