The Alliance Class Assault Frigate, also known by both Rebel and Imperial alike as the Rebel Assault Frigate or Alliance Assault Frigate, is one of the first Alliance developed designs for the Alliance Fleet. These new ships would along with the smaller Nebulon-B Escort Frigates be the main heavy combat ships for the Fleet. At least till the introduction of the Mon Calamari Cruisers under two years later.
