After the Nymeans occupied the Yavin System during the Yavin Crisis, they began colonizing the Yavin IV. The colony grew rapidly over the next few weeks, but it was a short lived prosperity. Desiring to anger the Nymean Ascendancy and further the split between them and the Order of Sovereignty, Valentine ordered a large portion of his fleet to attack the system. When his fleet came out of hyperspace, the Nymean Admiral Erstis realized the fight was hopeless and ordered a retreat.
