Holding the rank of General, Ambristen served as the Commandant of the Marine Corps in the late 19th Century PD. He was rather taken with young Susan Hibson's exploits during and after the Attica Avalanche, and on the recommendation of several officers involved in the rescue operations, had the Corps reserve a slot for her at the Officer Candidate School.
