Yestarf was the old capital of the nation of Hetrais on the planet Eloque, before the Eloquian Alliance formed. It was captured by the nation of Gusevy in the Eloquian Civil War, which was a three way war between the nations of Gusevy, Feyr, and Hetrais. After the war, the city had been the host of two major battles, one ending the war. This left many parts of the city destroyed, but they were rebuilt soon after the war ended.
