Michael Kinney (born on September 21, 1967 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian actor who is most famous for portraying Darryl Armstrong on Degrassi: The Next Generation. He has had other minor roles in movies and shows such as If You Believe and Silent Scream, but Degrassi is where he made his fame. Mike also produced or co-produced two TV series, Spynet and Inquiring Minds. He, along with many other Degrassi actors and actresses, has a Twitter account. His character is called "Coach Armstrong" most of the time by students. He coaches sports and teaches math. Other than Stefan Brogren, Kinney is the only actor to appear in every season of Degrassi: The Next Generation / Degrassi / Degrassi: Next Class.
