John-Boy's Meadow is a ten acre piece of Walton land that Grandpa and Grandma gave John-Boy on the day that he was born. Many times John-Boy's Meadow is mentioned throughout the show, especially in the first and second seasons. In Season 5's The Cloudburst, John-Boy sells the land to the Industrial Land Company for money to keep The Blue Ridge Chronicle publishing.
