Doctor Silbermann was a SRPA scientist who created a new stage of inhibitors for the Sentinels. Dr. Silbermann was captured by the Chimera and was put into a conversion center in Salinas, California. Sgt. Nathan Hale, Cpl. Lee Dashiel, and Pvt. Jimmy Sanchez were sent out to rescue him and to retrieve his new inhibitor before the Chimera captured it. Unluckily, they discovered him in a Cocoon. He was not fully transformed and still possessed the inhibitor. After the three soldiers had a quick skirmish with Spinners, killing both Dashiel and Sanchez, Hale took the inhibitor and destroyed the center, incinerating Silbermann and everything else in it.
