Super Smash X is an unofficial Smash fan game created by ChannelCat in 2002, designed in the vein of a Super Nintendo version of Super Smash Bros.. It is a two-player game meant to be like Super Smash Bros., but is quite different. It is also largely based on Super Mario World, with four characters from the game (out of eight) and eight stages based on the game (out of nine).
