The American Football Club first appears in Chapter 22. It is the most talented of Ouran's athletic clubs. They make it to the national play-offs every year. They are nicknamed the "Ouran Orages." The name was chosen because "orage" is French for "tempest" or "storm," and sounds similar to "orange," the fruit that team captain, Takeshi Kuze is obsessed with. According to Renge, they are the antagonists of the series since Kuze has a grudge against Kyoya, and while the Host Club has the most female fans, the Football Club has the most male fans.
