John Baufort is a human character who appears in the Johan And Peewit comic book story "The War Of The Seven Springs" and the cartoon show adaptation "The Haunted Castle". He is the rightful heir of Baufort Castle, whom Johan and Peewit must find and bring safely to the castle to claim it as his property, and free the ghost of his ancestor, the late Sir Aldebert. Several impostors appear to claim the castle as well, but the only visitor not afraid of the ghost of Aldebert Baufort is John who has the Baufort family seal, proving his claim is valid all along.
