The Netherworlds in Disgaea 5 are massive, with multiple kinds of Netherworlds existing around, much like in Makai Kingdom. However, majority of the Netherworlds were conquered or destroyed by a demon known as Void Dark and his armies of Lost, leading it to a crisis of extinction-level proportion. Labelled as "War with no Victor" or "War with no Hero", the truth about this event remained as a mystery.
