Otomo Dsichi was a famous courtier of the Imperial Families. He was a demanding and harsh man towards his only son, Otomo Renjiro, whose achievements were never enough in Dsichi's eyes. Dsichi garnered to his lackluster heir a marriage to a minor Otomo diplomat. He broke contact with Renjiro after rumors that his grandson was not from him, but from a deceased Seppun Miharu.
