Galacticity is a category of sentience corresponding to an information processing rate of 1042 bits/sec (a sentience quotient of 40-50 for a 100 kg individual). Galactic sentient individuals are able to innately understand the workings of an entire galactic civilisation of typical conscious beings. This means that a single galactic sentient individual could easily run a Type 3.0 Civilization alone, or multiple could form a Type 4.0 Civilization from many integrated galactic cultures.
