Brainiac 2, aka Vril Dox 2, is a Coluan man, who became Brainiac's adoptive son. He appears in silver age continuity. In modern-age continuity, he's Brainiac's biological son. In both continuities he rebelled against the Computer Tyrants and against his father, fighting for the freedom of Colu. Dox is the founder of the interplanetary force called L.E.G.I.O.N., as well as the group R.E.B.E.L.S.. Brainiac 5 descended from him. On multiple occasions, Brainiac 5 has sent projections of himself back in time to interact with his ancestor.
