The Tree Carers were Wookiees on Kashyyyk who gathered and saved seeds from wroshyr cones to plant new trees. Tree Carers lived in the highest branches of the wroshyrs, and were seen to have a quasi-religious status. Families of Tree Carers gathered seeds from their trees every hundred years, then journeyed into the forest to plant their seeds. These families resided in dwellings at the tops of their trees, and members sometimes acted as community shamans. Tree-cities such as Kachirho had shrines dedicated to the Tree Carers.
