Jack Andrews (or Zack Andrews) is a Detective with the Metro-Dade Police Department, working in the Young Criminals Unit (YCU) to bring down younger criminals. He is originally from Arkansas and has a strong southern accent, wears Razorbacks shirts, and is very laid back unless angered. When fellow YCU member Ray Mundy is killed, allegedly by professor Terrence "Terry" Baines, who is under investigation for creating a designer drug called Bliss, Andrews originally planned to leave the team but is talked out of it by Joey Hardin, a newcomer to YCU, and they make plans together to bring Baines down.
