The Kenda Shrine was a religious site on Bajor. In early 2373, Kira Nerys was planning to visit the shrine with Shakaar Edon. (DS9 short story: "... Loved I Not Honor More") Kira and Shakaar visited the shrine later that year. While there, they prayed to the Prophets and asked them if they were meant to be together. The pair realized that their relationship was not meant to be.
