Conor Ibrahiem (formerly Conor Alexander) began his acting career in amateur dramatics at the Bradford Playhouse in 1990. From then until 1997 he continued on the am-dram circuit, performing in plays such as A Child's Christmas in Wales, Godspell and The Cherry Orchard. He then went on to study Performing Arts at Bradford College between 1997 and 1999, and it was during this period, through an amateur production of Mame, that he received his big break. His television debut was as a waiter in an episode of Emmerdale in 1998, which led to an Equity card and an acting agent. After college, he tried for drama school but wasn't successful, but, not one to be deterred (and with his Equity card and agent to hand), he set out to make it anyway.
