Paul Bateman is a London-based Concept Artist and Art Director. A close friend and colleague of the late Ralph McQuarrie, he notably wrote a tribute article titled Ralph McQuarrie: Dreamer & Visionary for the 134th issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine. As of the 145th issue of the same magazine, Bateman writes and illustrates McQuarrie Revisited, an Insider department which features his interpretations of certain unfinished Star Wars pieces originally drawn by McQuarrie. Bateman is a frequent guest of RebelForce Radio, and he also hosts a podcast on the network along with Jimmy "Mac" McInerney called Star Wars Influences.
